Pick up from your Nairobi hotel or Nairobi Airport
Will pick you up from your hotel or airport at 7:30 am for the journey to the renowned Masai Mara. This world-famous park is legendary for being the home of the Great Migration – an awesome procession of wildlife on the move in an endless stream from the Serengeti to the Mara.
The scenic drive is via subsistence homesteads as you head to the Great Rift Valley escarpment where you stop for awesome views.
Descend to the floor of the Rift valley and open Masai country as you journey to the Masai Mara. Explore the Masai mara on an afternoon game viewing drive.
Dinner and overnight at the safari Lodge or camp of your choice
Meal Plan:Breakfast,Lunch & Dinner
Here in Kenya’s most popular park with its deep savannahs offset with iconic acacia trees, you’ll have a good chance to spot the “Big Five” – lion, leopard elephant, rhino and buffalo because of the great density of animals in this reserve.
At the Mara River, we’ll see hippo and crocodile deep in their usual habitat as wildebeest, zebra and gazelle forge across in search of food. The park also supports masses of impala, eland, Masai Giraffe, cheetah and hyena. You won’t go a day here without enjoying the ever-present wildlife.
We offer several optional excursions to round out your safari. An early morning hot air balloon ride over the awakening Mara with its views of the endless trains of wildlife is an unforgettable memory. Just ask your guide to make the arrangements for you.
You can also take a moment out from wildlife tracking to visit the local Maasai people. Here you can meet the villagers, learn about their lives and purchase some of their colorful crafts.
Meal Plan:Breakfast,Lunch & Dinner
We’ll depart early for Lake Nakuru, but we’ll have plenty of time to stop, stretch and enjoy scenic vistas along the way.
Lake Nakuru is a stunning park – you may view a few flamingos lining the lake. Please note that due to some progressive natural factors , the flamingo numbers have been reducing but the park itself remains stunning – one of Kenya’s finest. Great rocky escarpments tower over acacia forest, waterfalls, wooded hills and euphorbia trees dot the lake.
The few quantity of flamingos is accompanied by other birdlife – pelicans, cormorants, kingfishers, ostriches, storks as well as herons and eagles. The scene here is bountiful, busy and full of color.
Then waterfalls, acacia forest and looming rocky escarpments overseeing it all. This is a wonderful place for wildlife watching but also to relax.
You’ll find rare Rothschild’s giraffe, zebra, hippo, waterbuck, hyena, monkey and baboon. But let’s get back to the flamingos – there are possibly as many as a million of the fuchsia birds filling the alkaline lake, feeding off its vast blooms of algae. This is only one of a few places in the world you can see this carpet of blazing pink birdlife.
And still more to come – we’ll visit the rhino sanctuary, home to one of Kenya’s largest populations of endangered black and white rhino. And, time permitting, a game drive in the park’s woodlands may get us a view of the infamous African rock python, perhaps hanging from a tree!

Meal Plan:Breakfast,Lunch & Dinner
Now we’re headed toward east Kenya and Amboseli Park. Again, we’ll break up the trip with stops to eat and to view the Great Rift Valley.
Let the largest mountain in Africa be your guide to Amboseli Park. You’ll see the massive scale of Mt. Kilimanjaro as it stands over the park. Indeed, Kilimanjaro is an ever-present feature here. This is the “Land of the Giants” – both the mountain and the unending train of great, ivory-tusked elephants that parade through this park.
We’ll visit Observation Hill, an excellent spot for viewing the park and the wildlife below, especially at the springs and marshes where we’ll see the always present elephant, plus buffalo, hippo, pelican and other birdlife.

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
It’s just a two-hour drive to our final park, the striking Tsavo West. This is one of Kenya’s oldest parks and offers us a vivid landscape of hills, golden savannahs and luxuriant oases. We’ll spend the day here on game drives, circling around giraffe, buffalo, hartebeest, dik-dik, monkeys and baboons.
At Mzima Springs, a verdant, lush watering hole, expect hippos. And you’ll love the special underwater viewing platform where you’ll enjoy a unique perspective of these aquatic creatures. Also look for crocodile and other wildlife along the shores.
Your final night of the safari will be spent here, and in the morning, we’ll take off on one more game drive in this celebrated national reserve.
Dinner and overnight at the safari lodge or tent of your choice.
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch
We’ll be up early again to make the most of our day. This is a pre-breakfast exploration of the park, for us… and the wildlife. And we’ll all enjoy the deepening colours of the land as the sun burns off the early morning dew.
Later, after the delicious fortitude of a safari breakfast, we’ll strike out for Mzima Springs. This unexpected oasis is fed by crystal-clear waters providing a living habitat for aquatic and land creatures. Its lush greenery stands in marked relief from the rugged plains of the park.
We’ll step from our 4 x 4 Jeep and take a nature walk under the raffia-lined shores, looking for hippo, crocodile, colorful fish and birds. Terrestrial wildlife flocks here as well, so be on guard for zebra and giraffe wandering amongst the acacia trees.
drop off.
As afternoon approaches, it’s soon time to head back to the Kenya coast. We should have you back at your resort or hotel in the late afternoon or early evening. If you request, we can bring you to the Mombasa airport as well.
