Overview

Tsavo East National Park is the largest park in Kenya, and its sparse vegetation makes game spotting more accessible. You may see the unique Tsavo lions whose males lack the familiar big manes

Tour Plan

Day 01 Departure:Diani/Mombasa Beach Hotel to Tsavo East National Park

Around 06:00 – 06:30Hrs

The safari begins with a pickup at your beach hotel or resort.  We’ll take the Mombasa – Nairobi Highway, viewing farmlands and Kenya countryside along the way.

The route to Tsavo East is short and upon reaching the park, we’ll stop for refreshments before heading out on our first game drive. You’ll feel the safari excitement as we rumble over the broad grasslands looking for the larger and smaller wildlife like eland, impala, giraffe, and zebra.

After our first taste of this legendary park, we’ll break for lunch and fortify ourselves for more great game viewing during the afternoon. The place will be relaxed – there will be plenty of time to discover the big game during our 3-day safari.

As we track for the wildlife all about us in this massive park, we’ll also get to witness one of Africa’s blazing sunsets.

 Overnight

Overnight at your Tsavo east safari lodge/ tented camp.

Day 02 Full Day Tsavo East National Park with game drives

At 06h30 enjoy a quick cup of tea or coffee and depart for an early morning Game Drive in search of the big cats returning from their nocturnal hunts. Return Back to the lodge for a full breakfast.

You may choose to relax at the lodge or at about 10h30 depart for a short optional game drive returning to the lodge in time for lunch.

Relax and enjoy the swimming pool until about 16h00 when you start your evening Game Drive looking for more wildlife. Just before sunset, return Back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 03 Return Tsavo East National Park to Mombasa/Diani Beach Hotels

We’re up early with the rising sun and the first stirring of the animals! This is the best way to view the awakening savannah and wildlife as it emerges into the new day. Be ready for the adventure of the “hunt”.

After this first game drive, we’ll be hunting for a hearty safari breakfast at our accommodation.

Later, we’ll check out from our lodge, but the animal spotting isn’t over. We’ll go for a final game drive as we depart the park. We may see the Aruba Dam and Mudanda Rock, two well-known watering holes, where thousands of animals come to drink.

Drop Off.

In the late afternoon light, we’ll head back to the Kenya Coast. We’ll bring you back to your beach resort or the Mombasa port. It’s been an exciting 3 days of safari filled with the beauty of the land, the light and wildlife treasures of Tsavo East. We hope you enjoyed your holiday.
